About the role

Shopping at Reddit is one of the company's biggest growth bets and core to its monetization strategy, with Dynamic Product Ads (DPA) standing as one of Reddit's fastest-growing verticals. The Shopping product organization has end-to-end ownership of how advertisers and Redditors interact with products and purchasing decisions, built upon authentic, community-generated content.

The Product Catalog serves as the single source of truth for product data across paid and organic Shopping, powering products and the Product Knowledge Graph (PKG). Reddit is hiring a Product Manager to own Catalogs and Applied PKG end-to-end—turning this critical asset into a unified platform that drives Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and powers product discovery across Reddit’s 100,000+ active communities.

This role sits at the intersection of advertiser tooling, product & content understanding, and user experiences. You will partner deeply with Catalogs Engineering, Ads Content Understanding (ACU), and Shopping teams across performance and ad formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reduce Advertiser Friction: Move catalog onboarding from days to hours through improved error handling, automated feed-issue resolution, product ID matching, and URL-to-catalog automation. Stand up the foundations of a Reddit Merchant Center.
  • Drive Catalog Innovation: Lead LLM-based catalog enrichment (attribute fill, description optimization, category derivation), catalog-driven ad overlays ("Popular with Redditors", price/promo), and Catalog Insights for paid and organic metrics.
  • Platform Vision & Strategy: Define the 1–3 year strategy that turns Catalogs into a core platform backbone connecting Reddit's paid and organic Shopping surfaces.
  • Unlock Advertiser Demand: Land Limitless Catalogs (20M+ product catalogs for large retailers/marketplaces), regional metadata for global clients, and Shopify integrations for SMB merchants.
  • Build Universal Catalog & PKG: Partner with content understanding teams to connect ad catalogs directly to the Product Knowledge Graph and organic product mentions across Reddit.
  • Executive Leadership: Represent Catalogs and Applied PKG in Shopping leadership reviews and executive readouts.

Requirements

Experience & Background

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.
  • 3+ years of specific experience in AdTech, retail media, e-commerce marketplaces, or digital shopping platforms.
  • Proven experience with product knowledge graphs, product entity resolution, or large-scale product taxonomies.

Technical & AI Fluency

  • Strong AI fluency: Comfortable creating scalable agentic workflows, leveraging AI for data analysis and task automation, and building AI products.
  • Ability to balance 0-1 product building with operational rigor (scoping MVPs, shipping, and optimizing production systems).

Leadership & Execution

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills across multiple engineering teams, Product Marketing (PMM), Sales, and Operations.
  • Strong bias to action, with comfort making decisions under imperfect information and mitigating risk quickly.

Nice to Have

  • ML Fluency: Experience shipping ML-powered products in ads, personalization, retrieval, ranking signals, or content understanding.
  • Experience with LLM-driven content understanding or feature engineering.
  • Experience building products for SMB-via-platform channels (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce).
  • Hands-on experience building or operating a Merchant Center, catalog QA tool, or advertiser data console.

Benefits & Workplace Perks

  • Flexibility: 100% Remote flexibility with home office setup stipend (or access to SF, NY, LA, and Chicago office locations).
  • Equity & Retirement: Generous 401(k) matching and competitive equity (RSU) packages.
  • Health & Family: Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 4+ months paid parental leave, and family planning support.
  • Time Off: Flexible vacation policy and paid volunteer time off.
