Data Scientist at Lyft | Hybrid Role (3 Days in Office)

Lyft is looking for a data professional to frame business problems mathematically, analyze data, and guide product decisions through experimentation. You will partner with engineers, product managers, product designers, and business partners, and work with software engineers to put algorithms and analytics events into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers, product managers, product designers, and business partners to frame problems mathematically and in their business context
• Perform exploratory data analysis to understand problems more deeply
• Collaborate with software engineers to implement algorithms and analytics events in production
• Design and run simulated and live traffic experiments
• Analyze experimental and observational data, communicate findings, and facilitate launch decisions

Requirements

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Physics, Data Science, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in the job offered, operations research, or a related occupation
• Experience creating metrics, analytical dashboards, and tools to track and monitor growth
• Experience with statistics, business forecasts and estimates, and authoring data pipelines
• Experience writing production queries and designing and analyzing experiments
