Senior Software Engineer, Profiles & Segments | Klaviyo

Klaviyo’s PLS (Profiles, Lists and Segments) team builds and scales the core customer data experiences in Klaviyo’s product. The team owns the tools that help customers understand their users, group them into meaningful audiences, and keep those audiences current as new data flows in. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and build scalable systems and intuitive workflows, partnering with product managers, data scientists, and platform teams. The role leans frontend, with a focus on reusable components and seamless user experiences using TypeScript, React, Python, and Django.

Key Responsibilities

• Build impactful customer-facing features as a core member of the PLS team
• Create easy-to-use, highly performant editors
• Work closely with Product, Design, and Data Science to deliver the best customer experience
• Mentor team members and drive initiatives that help the team learn new skills

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with strong hands-on skills in React, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and familiarity with general web best practices
• A track record of shipping work powered or accelerated by AI
• Experience conducting code reviews and running a robust testing cycle with automated testing, including end-to-end and integration tests (e.g., Cypress, pytest)
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and evolving APIs and data models to support product success
• Ownership of work from requirements and edge cases through implementation and testing
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-quarter, cross-team projects and being accountable for their outcomes
