About the role

BlackRock’s Financial Markets Advisory group (FMA) advises financial institutions, sovereigns, and official institutions on strategic, capital, balance sheet, risk, and regulatory matters across public and private markets. It has about 150 team members globally and works with a boutique focus and a fully fiduciary mindset, including the ability to operate behind strict information barriers. FMA is also a talent laboratory for the firm.

The Director would play a central role in shaping and delivering FMA’s strategy in the Americas, combining senior-level client advisory, commercial leadership, and talent development. You would act as a senior thought partner to FMA leadership, identifying priority themes, growing key client relationships, and building new advisory and investment collaboration opportunities. The role covers project execution, idea generation for new business, relationship management, business development, and advising clients on complex capital markets challenges with the group’s subject matter experts. Externally, you would engage senior stakeholders across the region’s financial services and public sector ecosystems. Internally, you would connect capabilities across Capital Markets, Aladdin, Research, and other businesses.
