Director of Product - Multi-Platform UI & Luau

As Director of Product, Consumer Frontend, you will drive the strategy, design systems, and frontend capabilities that up-level the user experience across all Roblox surfaces. Leading both the Core UI team and the Luau Architecture & Design System Tools team, you will establish standardized UI paradigms for end users and Creators alike. In this executive platform position, you will act as a hands-on technical product leader—defining success metrics, managing internal stakeholder adoption across engineering/design pods, executing complex A/B tests, and leveraging AI to drive UI innovation at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Consumer Frontend Vision & Strategy: Define and execute the multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Consumer Frontend organization (Core UI, Luau architecture, Design Systems, and developer tooling).
• UI Standardization & Thought Leadership: Establish common UI paradigms across the Roblox Consumer Application, driving high-quality, coherent user experiences across mobile, desktop, console, VR, and web.
• Internal Stakeholder & Adoption Management: Invest heavily in cross-functional relationships to drive company-wide adoption of Roblox’s centralized Design System among internal engineering and design teams.
• Hands-On Product Execution: Directly manage critical, high-impact platform projects while leading, hiring, and mentoring a team of high-performing Product Managers.
• Complex A/B Testing & Data Analytics: Design and execute platform-wide A/B experiments, navigating complex trade-off conversations between user engagement, performance, and platform consistency.
• AI-Driven Innovation: Research and deploy generative AI and machine learning tools to optimize UI workflows, increase frontend delivery speed, and enhance user interaction.
• Executive & Creator Communication: Articulate technical roadmaps, platform priorities, and experiment outcomes across executive leadership forums and external Creator community events.

Requirements

Product Leadership & Platform UI Depth

• 10+ years of progressive Product Management experience with a track record of shipping high-quality consumer products at scale across multiple platforms (Mobile, Web, Console, VR).
• Design Systems & UI Platform Mastery: Proven success defining, managing, or driving company-wide adoption of design systems, UI platforms, or standardized design frameworks.
• Platform Product Development: Deep expertise navigating platform product development where internal engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers serve as your primary customers.
• A/B Testing & Analytics: Proven experience running complex, platform-wide A/B tests and making data-informed trade-off decisions across competing business priorities.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Track record leading execution across Engineering, Data Science, Product Design, Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, and Trust & Safety teams.
• Design Sensibilities & Technical Proficiency: Exceptional design judgment with a history of strong engineering and design partnerships; technical fluency collaborating closely with frontend engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical experience with Luau (or similar scripting languages), React / React Native, or modern component-driven frontend frameworks.
• Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of multi-platform game UI/UX design patterns.
• Experience building AI-assisted developer workflows or automated UI generation tooling.
