Backend Python Developer - AI & Automation

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices in Python 3.x.
• RESTful API Engineering: Build, document, and integrate secure RESTful APIs utilizing modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Automation & Web Scraping: Develop robust browser automation and data extraction workflows using Playwright or Selenium.
• Data Processing & AI Workflows: Handle structured and unstructured data pipelines using Pandas and NumPy, integrating AI/ML services and LLM APIs into business workflows.
• Performance & Production Support: Profile code performance, optimize database query speeds, troubleshoot production issues, and implement bug fixes.
• Code Quality & CI/CD: Write clean, reusable, well-documented, and testable code following software engineering best practices, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker).

Requirements

Practical Experience & Core Technologies

• 2–3 years of hands-on professional software development experience in Python 3.x.
• Framework Proficiency: Practical experience building web applications or APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Automation Tooling: Hands-on experience developing web scrapers or browser automation scripts with Playwright or Selenium.
• Data Wrangling: Strong working knowledge of Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
• Databases & Tooling: Proficient with relational SQL databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), containerization using Docker, and version control with Git.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

• Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to debugging production issues.
• Familiarity with writing unit tests, API testing tools, and system documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML frameworks, OpenAI/LLM APIs, or LangChain.
• Solid grasp of asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio, aiohttp).
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to microservices architecture, message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka), and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
