About the role

The Delivery Manager owns the successful execution of assigned projects from kickoff through go-live. You will be the day-to-day driver who keeps projects on track, teams unblocked, and clients informed. You will turn the PRD into actionable sprints, coordinate engineers, QAs, and designers, and act as the primary client contact for status and deliverables. You are the first line of defense against scope creep, timeline slippage, and client dissatisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project planning and execution: Break down PRDs into epics, sprints, and tasks, define realistic timelines with engineering and QA, and independently run the discovery sprint of a project end to end
  • Team coordination: Run daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, manage dependencies, and flag resource needs early
  • Client communication: Be the primary contact for assigned clients, give regular status updates, manage expectations, and raise concerns before they escalate
  • Scope and change management: Assess the impact of change requests, document them, and escalate to the Head of Delivery when needed
  • Quality oversight: Make sure deliverables meet quality standards before UAT and confirm with QA that testing is complete
  • UAT management: Prepare clients for UAT, gather feedback efficiently, prioritize fixes, and drive toward sign-off
  • Risk identification: Spot risks early (technical debt, unclear requirements, capacity gaps, client responsiveness) and propose solutions
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain project documentation, deliver weekly status reports on time, and keep project tools updated
  • SDLC compliance: Follow company standards for sprint cadence, code reviews, QA cycles, and deployments
  • Go-live coordination: Plan smooth launches, confirm rollback plans exist, and manage post-launch support until stabilization

Requirements

  • 2-5 years in project or delivery management within software services, product development, or agency environments
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with the full SDLC, from requirements through deployment
  • Technical understanding: able to read a sprint board, follow technical discussions, and spot unrealistic estimates (coding not required)
  • Comfortable running client meetings, presenting status updates, and handling difficult conversations about timelines and scope
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, ClickUp, Linear, or similar), plus documentation, time tracking, and basic reporting
  • Education: Not specified
