Senior iOS Engineer, Crypto Perpetuals | Robinhood Menlo Park, NYC

The Crypto Perpetuals team is building Robinhood’s advanced trading experience for customers who want fast, intuitive access to crypto derivatives markets. The team powers the mobile workflows that help traders monitor price action, understand market depth, manage risk, and place trades with confidence in fast-moving markets. It works at the intersection of high-performance UI, real-time market data, and complex trading systems. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will design and build performant mobile experiences that support real-time data, sophisticated trading flows, and reliable execution. You will work closely with product, design, and backend engineering, and help raise the technical bar through strong architecture, execution, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable iOS application architecture for advanced crypto trading experiences used by Robinhood’s most active investors
• Partner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and data teams to deliver fast, reliable, pro-grade trading tools on mobile
• Improve application performance, real-time data handling, observability, and release stability across core crypto trading workflows
• Lead technical planning and guide system design reviews, implementation discussions, and incident resolution for high-stakes trading features
• Mentor iOS engineers through code reviews, technical feedback, and structured development support, and contribute to engineering standards and documentation

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience developing iOS applications
• Extensive experience building and maintaining large-scale iOS applications using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
• Experience designing mobile systems with clear architecture patterns, scalable component design, and maintainable testing strategies, particularly for data-intensive or real-time use cases
• Ability to collaborate with product, design, backend, and infrastructure partners to deliver customer-focused solutions
• Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform improvements
• Clear communication skills, and the ability to turn complex trading concepts into intuitive mobile experiences
• US citizenship or lawful permanent residency (the position is restricted to US citizens and lawful permanent residents)
