About the role
At Klaviyo, we empower creators to own their destiny by making first-party data accessible and actionable across ecommerce and digital messaging platforms.
As the Senior Product Manager for Product-Led Growth (PLG), you will define and accelerate Klaviyo's self-service growth strategy across the full customer lifecycle. Sitting at the intersection of product experience, growth loops, and monetization, you will own initiatives that take customers from initial signup to activation, feature adoption, and expansion. You will optimize the self-service customer journey—reducing friction across onboarding, pricing transparency, checkout, and self-service subscription upgrades—while collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Go-To-Market teams.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Lifecycle Ownership: Drive key product-led growth initiatives spanning signup, account setup, onboarding, activation, trial-to-paid conversion, retention, and self-service account expansion.
- Friction Reduction & Onboarding Optimization: Architect intuitive onboarding flows that accelerate time to value, helping new brands understand Klaviyo’s capabilities and see immediate business results.
- In-Product Monetization & Pricing: Partner on pricing, packaging, and billing experiences to help customers easily evaluate additional product modules, evaluate plans, and upgrade subscriptions seamlessly.
- Growth Experimentation Culture: Develop hypotheses, design A/B testing methodologies, evaluate funnel metrics, and translate quantitative/qualitative behavioral insights into growth roadmap decisions.
- Growth Funnel Analytics: Define, measure, and optimize core growth metrics—including activation rates, trial conversion rates, feature adoption, retention cohorts, and expansion ARR.
- GTM & Hybrid Motion Alignment: Collaborate across Product and GTM teams to bridge self-service and sales-assisted motions, ensuring a unified customer experience as accounts grow in sophistication.
Requirements
Experience & Functional Background
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in Product Management, high-growth startups, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Proven track record of creating and driving growth strategies across customer acquisition, activation, conversion, retention, or expansion funnels.
- Strong product intuition and UX/UI sensibilities, with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex customer journeys and build high-quality web/SaaS experiences.
Analytical & Execution Skills
- High data literacy: comfortable defining metrics, running funnel/cohort analyses, interpreting behavioral data, and designing A/B experiments.
- Deep understanding of PLG fundamentals and the intersection between product value delivery and monetization.
- History of shipping impactful product features in close partnership with software engineering and product design teams.
- Strong bias for action, comfortable operating in ambiguous environments without predefined playbooks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience owning PLG initiatives at a high-growth B2B SaaS company featuring both self-service and sales-assisted GTM models.
- Direct background managing monetization products: pricing/packaging, billing systems, self-service checkout, or upgrade funnels.
- Background in MarTech, Ecommerce, CRM, or data-heavy SaaS platforms.
- Experience utilizing growth experimentation stacks, funnel analytics platforms, or AI-powered development tools.
Total Rewards & Benefits
- Compensation: Competitive base salary of $136,000 – $204,000 USD (scaled by US geographic market) + annual cash bonus eligibility + company equity grants.
- Health & Wellbeing: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options, wellness benefits, and employee resources.
- Work Culture & Leave: Generous time off, paid parental leave, flexible working arrangements, and professional development stipends.
