- Developer APIs: Design and ship robust APIs enabling third-party developers to programmatically create and customize Roblox avatars in-experience.
- Cross-Platform Applications: Build and optimize high-performance avatar customization applications across mobile, tablet, PC, and console platforms.
- System Architecture & Refactoring: Refactor legacy codebases to improve system reliability, rendering performance, frame rates, and automated test coverage.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with graphics, animation, tools, and platform engineering teams to advance character customization tools.
Requirements

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience working on a consumer-facing game engine, game application, or digital film pipeline.
Technical Capabilities & Skills
- High proficiency in C++, 3D mathematics, data structures, algorithms, and networking concepts.
- Practical experience building character customization systems, character editors, or content creation tools.
- Demonstrated background developing and shipping online console or mobile game titles.
- Hands-on experience with game or film character subsystems (e.g., animation pipelines, rigid-body/cloth/hair physics, or custom shading).
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional background in game or film character technical art, rendering pipelines, or procedural generation systems.
- Deep familiarity with Lua or other embedded scripting languages in production engines.
