About the role

At Klaviyo, our GTM Systems team powers the operational engine that connects marketing, sales, partnerships, and customer success. We build and maintain the foundational systems that allow our go-to-market teams to move quickly and trust their data.

As a Senior Systems Engineer on the GTM Systems Partner team, you will own enterprise Salesforce solutions and GTM integrations end-to-end. In this high-ownership role, you will build and maintain features across the Salesforce platform—including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and external-facing partner portals—while managing secure data pipelines connecting partner management and payment systems. You will champion git-based development practices, leverage AI productivity tooling, and hold a high bar for code quality through pull request reviews and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Solution Delivery: Design, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flow, applying clean code principles (DRY, SOLID, KISS).
  • GTM & Partner Integrations: Build and manage secure integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM stack, including the external partner portal, partner management engines, and payment platform data.
  • Code Quality & Governance: Enforce software engineering standards through GitHub-based pull request reviews, automated testing, and strict access/permission governance models.
  • Incident Triage & Platform Health: Triage, debug, and resolve high-impact data and platform issues quickly, communicating status updates clearly to Product Owners and stakeholders.
  • Agile Refinement & Sizing: Partner with Product Owners and Architects during story refinement to surface technical constraints early, size user stories accurately, and define acceptance criteria.
  • AI Tooling & Mentorship: Utilize modern AI tools in daily workflows to accelerate delivery and automate repetitive tasks; mentor junior engineers in git-based workflows and Salesforce best practices.

Requirements

Salesforce Engineering & Systems Depth

  • Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer or Senior Salesforce Developer building and operating enterprise GTM software stacks.
  • Deep hands-on development expertise across the Salesforce platform: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and platform APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Strong track record of designing, building, and maintaining multi-system integrations connecting Salesforce to external web portals, partner management systems, or financial/payment tools.
  • High proficiency with modern software engineering practices: git/GitHub version control, pull requests, automated CI/CD deployment pipelines, and unit testing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to software design principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS) and data governance/security standards.
  • Active integration of AI coding assistants and automation tooling in daily engineering workflows.

Work Logistics

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for team onsite meetings, onboarding, and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting GTM partner engines, channel sales workflows, or external partner portal architectures.
  • Formal Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II, Integration Architect, or System Architect).
  • Familiarity with enterprise iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, MuleSoft, Tray.io) or custom middleware microservices.

Total Rewards & Benefits

  • Compensation & Equity: Base salary of $116,000 – $174,000 USD + participation in annual cash bonus plan + competitive equity grants.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Robust medical, dental, and vision insurance options for employees and eligible dependents.
  • Financial Security & Retirement: 401(k) retirement savings plan, life insurance, and disability coverage.
  • Workplace Culture & Perks: Professional development stipends, flexible time off, and access to modern AI productivity tooling.
