As the Anti-Cheat Engineering Manager for Mobile Vanguard, you will lead the engineering team responsible for the ongoing development, architecture, and deployment of Vanguard Anti-Cheat services across iOS and Android platforms (with extensions into console environments). Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of Anti-Cheat, you will recruit and mentor engineers, set technical priorities, and balance immediate threat mitigation with long-term security investments. You will leverage your technical fluency in mobile platform security, C/C++ native SDKs, and reverse engineering to guide architecture, investigate emerging exploit techniques, and partner with game studios to protect player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Hiring: Identify, recruit, interview, and manage a high-performing engineering team; coach talent, manage performance, and foster career development.
- Mobile Anti-Cheat Strategy: Set direction and oversee the production delivery of Vanguard Anti-Cheat features across mobile (Android/iOS) and console environments.
- Rapid Threat Mitigation: Lead the team in translating emerging mobile cheat techniques, memory manipulation, and hook methods into resilient detections and preventative countermeasures.
- Game Studio Integration: Partner directly with Riot game development teams across genres to evaluate specific security profiles, reduce cheat vectors, and integrate Vanguard SDKs.
- Secure Architecture & Standards: Promote secure coding practices, binary protection, and platform-level security controls that systematically eliminate abuse vectors.
- Investigation & Technical Leadership: Stay ahead of the mobile cheating ecosystem, stepping directly into complex debugging, memory forensics, or reverse engineering investigations when needed.

- Practical experience building, testing, and deploying mobile native (C/C++) SDKs, frameworks, or static/dynamic libraries.
- Strong grasp of mobile memory management, security controls, and runtime binary execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile build chains and compilers (Android SDK/NDK, Xcode, LLVM).
- Familiarity with mobile executable formats (ELF, Mach-O), binary exploitation, and reverse engineering tools (Frida, IDA Pro, Radare2).
- Experience or familiarity with Gen9 Console development (Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5) or macOS platform security features.
