About the role
As a Product Manager – Code Intelligence, you will define, build, and launch capabilities that proactively detect infrastructure issues in code, such as Terraform and Helm configurations, and recommend changes before deployment leads to production incidents.
The Infrastructure Monitoring team pioneered shift-left detection with Bits Infrastructure Operations. You will expand this capability to support a broader range of use cases at the intersection of AI, infrastructure operations, and autonomous observability.
As customers increasingly adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and infrastructure teams face growing numbers of production incidents. By introducing agentic AI capabilities into developer workflows, Datadog aims to identify high-impact infrastructure changes before deployment, reduce incidents and waste, and free SRE teams to focus on higher-value work.
You will own the roadmap for expanding these capabilities, including cost detection, blast-radius analysis, and configuration changes affecting infrastructure that powers applications such as NGINX and PostgreSQL. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, and customers to establish product-market fit, drive adoption, and improve the coverage and correctness of the AI system.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Code Intelligence product roadmap, enabling customers to detect high-impact infrastructure and configuration changes and receive recommendations before deployment.
- Define the end-to-end agentic user experience across the Datadog interface and developer workflows, including GitHub.
- Partner with Design and Engineering to create intuitive, user-facing product experiences.
- Work with customers, including Datadog's internal teams, to drive adoption, gather feedback, and continuously improve the product.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure Monitoring, AI product teams, and other Datadog teams to integrate Infrastructure as Code detection across the platform.
- Establish quality standards and success metrics focused on coverage, correctness, and user trust.
- Drive product-led growth for a new product initiative targeting developers, using design partnerships, rapid iteration, and product-market-fit validation.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Product Management experience delivering technical products in cloud infrastructure or SaaS environments, ideally for developers or infrastructure operators.
- Enthusiasm for building AI-powered products and understanding how AI can transform infrastructure monitoring and management.
- A technical background or practical understanding of how engineers and developers build, maintain, or secure distributed cloud applications.
- Ability to lead a new product initiative from zero to one, identify design partners, iterate quickly, and establish product-market fit.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and align stakeholders around a shared product vision.
Datadog welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. Candidates who do not meet every qualification on day one are encouraged to apply if they are passionate about technology and eager to grow their skills.
