About the role

Lyra Health is a global leader in evidence-based mental health care, serving over 20 million people in partnership with employers and more than 100 million through health plan relationships. Combining clinical expertise with AI-powered platforms like Lyra Empower, Lyra helps members recover twice as fast while delivering unmatched clinical outcomes.

As a Clinical Product Manager for AI & Self-Care, you will drive the development, clinical quality, and innovation of Lyra’s digital self-care and prevention offerings. In this cross-functional role, you will apply deep clinical judgment as a licensed psychologist (PsyD/PhD) to author evidence-based mental health resources (articles, exercises, short videos) for individuals, children, adolescents, and families. Additionally, you will play a critical role in safety-testing, fine-tuning, and supervising Lyra’s clinical Generative AI tools—writing gold-standard dialogues and benchmark responses to ensure AI interactions remain safe, empathetic, and clinically effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Self-Care Content Development: Review clinical literature to write, edit, and produce high-impact psychoeducational materials, quick tips, guided exercises, and short video scripts teaching evidence-based skills (CBT, DBT, ACT, MBSR).
  • Clinical AI Tool Refinement & Safety: Partner with AI and Product teams to test, evaluate, and ensure the safety of generative AI features—writing gold-standard response sets, running QA evaluations, and shaping conversational AI behavior.
  • Tailored Content for Key Populations: Conduct qualitative research and provider surveys to build specialized resources for diverse populations, parents, adolescents, and children.
  • Marketing & Outreach Support: Review clinical accuracy for monthly member outreach campaigns in collaboration with Marketing and Product Growth teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Product, Design, and Engineering pods to translate evidence-based interventions into engaging digital product features.
  • Global Localization & Internal Training: Support international efforts to adapt and localize clinical resources across new languages and global markets, while training internal teams on resource dissemination.

Requirements

Licensure & Education

  • Education: Doctorate degree (PsyD or PhD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Clinical Licensure: Active, unencumbered license as a Psychologist with 2+ years of post-licensure, direct full-time clinical experience.

Clinical Expertise & Content Experience

  • Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio or history of developing accessible, client-facing mental health content and psychoeducational materials.
  • Comprehensive training in evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, MBSR, IPT, EFT) and safety risk management/assessment.
  • Practical experience delivering structured skills groups or psychoeducational workshops directly to clients.
  • Strong organizational skills to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing evidence-based care specifically for parents, adolescents, and/or children.
  • Formal training or experience as a mindfulness practitioner/trainer (MBSR/MBCT).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering culturally responsive care and adapting clinical tools for diverse or international populations.
  • Experience in mental health promotion, preventive behavioral interventions, or health-tech content creation.

Total Rewards & Benefits

  • Compensation & Bonus: Base salary range of $106,000 – $162,500 USD + eligibility for discretionary performance bonuses.
  • Equity & Retirement: Company equity via discretionary Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and 401(k) program with up to 3% employer match.
  • Healthcare & Mental Health: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; free access to coaching and therapy via "Lyra for Lyrians."
  • Time Off & Workplace Perks: Generous paid time off (vacation, sick leave, paid holidays), paid parental leave, monthly tech allowance, and wellness perks.
