PeopleSoft Developer - Integration Broker & AWE

Bright Vision Technologies is a technology consulting and software development firm delivering cloud, AI, data, and enterprise solutions across the United States.

We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Solutions Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain customizations, integrations, and enhancements across enterprise PeopleSoft application suites, including HCM, FSCM, and Campus Solutions. In this role, you will take technical ownership of business requirements, partnering closely with functional consultants and business analysts to deliver scalable solutions using PeopleTools, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, SQR, and BI Publisher. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise with the PeopleSoft data model, Approval Workflow Engine (AWE), and clean-customization principles to ensure long-term system maintainability during upgrades and patch cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Development & Customizations: Design, build, and maintain custom PeopleSoft applications, pages, components, and reports using Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, and SQR.
• Enterprise Integrations: Architect, build, and troubleshoot inbound/outbound real-time and batch integrations using Integration Broker, Component Interfaces (CI), Web Services, and REST APIs.
• Reporting & Workflow Automation: Develop operational and business reports using BI Publisher and SQR; configure and customize approval routing through the Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
• Data Modeling & SQL Tuning: Write complex SQL queries against the PeopleSoft data dictionary to debug data anomalies, optimize query performance, and ensure accurate data migrations.
• Upgrades & Maintenance Support: Support PeopleSoft application upgrades, PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) image applications, and tax updates, ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with functional consultants and IT stakeholders to translate functional specifications into robust technical designs, unit test plans, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Technical Expertise & PeopleSoft Depth

• 6+ years of hands-on technical development experience with enterprise PeopleSoft applications.
• Core PeopleTools Suite: Expert proficiency with Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker.
• Reporting Tools & Languages: Extensive experience writing and maintaining custom SQR scripts and BI Publisher report templates.
• Data Modeling & Database Querying: Strong SQL skills with deep knowledge of PeopleSoft underlying data structures, metadata tables, and object dependencies across HCM, FSCM, or Campus Solutions.
• Workflow Architecture: Working knowledge and implementation experience with the Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).
• Proven experience supporting PeopleSoft lifecycle upgrades, PUM updates, patches, and selective adoption cycles.

Education & Work Logistics

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Ability to work 100% remotely within the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Official Oracle / PeopleSoft Technical Certifications.
• Hands-on experience developing with PeopleSoft Fluid UI design principles.
• Experience building integrations between PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud HCM/ERP or utilizing Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Basic understanding of Oracle Database Administration (DBA) fundamentals and query tuning.
