About the role

At Robinhood, we are on a mission to democratize finance for all. As an estimated $124 trillion in assets transfers to younger generations over the next two decades, Robinhood is building the platform that powers this historic financial shift.

As a Senior Product Designer on the Prediction Markets team, you will own end-to-end design for a 0→1 product area within a new asset class that enables users to trade and engage with real-world events. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Operations leads, you will shape user experiences across event trading flows, user engagement mechanisms, and web platform expansions. This high-visibility role requires translating complex, ambiguous financial mechanisms into intuitive interfaces, leveraging tools like Figma alongside AI-assisted design workflows, and incorporating executive leadership feedback to drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • 0→1 Product Design Ownership: Lead end-to-end product design from initial concept through interactive prototyping, user testing, and production launch for Prediction Markets.
  • Trading & Web Platform UX: Design clear, engaging, and compliant user interfaces for event-based trading flows, dynamic market interactions, and web platform scaling.
  • Cross-Functional Execution: Partner daily with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to define product requirements, scope initiatives, and execute on high-priority roadmaps.
  • Executive Feedback Integration: Synthesize feedback from senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, rapidly incorporating insights into iterative design solutions without compromising UX quality.
  • AI Tool Integration: Utilize Figma and modern AI-powered tools within daily design workflows to accelerate discovery, wireframing, component building, and prototyping.

Requirements

Product Design & UX Depth

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design excellence and complex system UX.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning end-to-end product design and shipping new or early-stage (0→1) consumer software applications.
  • High proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma) and openness to integrating AI tools into the design process.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguous product spaces, drive projects forward independently, and solve complex user journey challenges.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with product managers, engineers, and operational partners to deliver high-impact product experiences.
  • Experience receiving, synthesizing, and applying feedback from multiple cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience designing fintech, trading, crypto, sports betting, or high-volume transactional marketplace platforms.
  • Experience designing complex web-first consumer applications alongside mobile interfaces.
  • Familiarity with design systems creation, component library management, and micro-interaction animation.

Total Rewards & Benefits

  • Compensation & Equity: Base salary of $166,000 – $195,000 USD (Zone 1) + performance-driven bonus multipliers + equity ownership + 401(k) matching.
  • Top-Tier Healthcare: 100% employer-paid health insurance for employees and 90% coverage for eligible dependents; fertility and mental health benefits.
  • Private Investment Access: Access to the Robinhood Employee Fund, offering US team members private exposure to Robinhood Ventures funds.
  • Perks & Stipends: Flexible Lifestyle Wallet stipend (wellness, learning, home setup), access to premier AI tools, and continuous AI skill-building.
  • Office Experience & Time Off: Catered meals, team events, paid time off, paid company holidays, and parental leave.
