Senior Full-Stack Engineer - Trust & Safety AI

As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer on the Safety Application pod, you will take end-to-end technical ownership of Roblox’s in-house safety applications, investigative tools, and moderation platforms. You will architect intuitive, high-throughput tooling that empowers operations teams, product managers, and safety agents to detect, prevent, and remove problematic content across the platform. In this high-impact role, you will embed advanced AI capabilities—including LLMs, agentic labeling frameworks, and automated workflows—directly into core safety primitives while maintaining strict system security and high availability.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture & Ownership: Assume ultimate technical ownership for full-stack systems across Safety labeling, investigative tooling, and moderation platforms from specification to deployment.
• Agentic AI & Moderation Tooling: Drive the architectural vision for next-generation safety applications, integrating LLM workflows, agentic AI labeling frameworks, and automated detection pipelines.
• Shared Primitives & Platformization: Design, build, and scale reusable safety primitives (Quality Assurance, Compliance infrastructure, Traffic Routing, workforce management) with self-serve onboarding APIs for external engineering teams.
• Cross-Functional Anchor: Partner directly with Operations, Product Management, and partner safety pods to resolve ambiguous workflows and translate complex operational needs into extensible system designs.
• Multi-Quarter Strategic Initiatives: Lead large-scale technical programs, navigate cross-team dependencies, and manage tech debt to ensure widespread adoption of core safety platforms.
• Technical Mentorship & Standards: Elevate team engineering rigor by conducting design reviews, establishing best practices, and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

Full-Stack Systems & Safety Depth

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building complex, production-grade distributed systems end-to-end.
• Full-Stack Proficiency: Hands-on expertise across modern frontend frameworks (React) and backend architectures (Golang, Python, REST/gRPC microservices, relational/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms).
• Distributed Systems Scale: Proven track record designing high-throughput microservices capable of handling thousands of requests per second with low latency.
• AI-Native Mindset: Active experience or eagerness to build AI-centric tools, embedding LLMs, machine learning models, and agentic workflows directly into application architectures.
• Analytical & Data-Driven: Demonstrated experience instrumenting user interaction data, conducting A/B testing, and analyzing product analytics to optimize user workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience building Trust & Safety, content moderation, fraud detection, or compliance infrastructure in high-scale consumer platforms.
• Hands-on experience developing internal developer platforms, workforce management tools, or workflow automation software.
• Deep familiarity with modern agentic AI frameworks and model context management for enterprise workflows.
