Store Associate - Customer Service & Merchandising

TJX is looking for a store team member who delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with all customers, embodying customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. You would follow operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, and may be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store.

Key responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring purchases and returns accurately and count change back according to procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor.
• Take part in store recovery throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help keep the whole store clean.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Take part in safety awareness and keep the environment safe.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience and requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Retail customer experience is preferred, not required.
• A specific number of years of experience and an education level are not stated.
